“My brother Evgeniy, a resident of the city of Energodar, Zaporozhye region, left on Saturday morning, August 6, to meet friends and disappeared,” the relative said. – He did not plan this trip in advance; these days he was going to go to the Zaporozhye military hospital for planned rehabilitation after participating in the ATO. At the last moment, the trip to the hospital had to be canceled; Evgeniy went to his friends’ dacha in his car. He called his wife back on Saturday evening, said that everything was fine with him, and promised that he would be home on Sunday, and at the latest on Monday morning. Since he has an old phone and he often sits down, his wife calmly waited for him at home, and only the fact that he did not call back on Sunday caused her alarm. When Evgeniy did not return on Monday, his wife called her family. We rushed to look for him. We only found out where he was on Wednesday from the media.”
“He always told his wife where he was or when he would return, and tried not to upset her with his absence,” says Panov’s brother. - He definitely could not organize any military events after demobilization in September 2015, he threw himself into work - a driver, an electrician at the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant, and at the same time was engaged in social activities - he created a public organization to help ATO veterans, but most importantly, he and his wife planned have a baby. You understand that a man who loves his wife and wants children will not expose himself to danger.”
The relative assures that, of his own free will, his brother would never have gone to Crimea, which was supposedly indifferent to him.
“Evgeniy believed that Crimea was gone and gone, and his task was to focus on volunteering and public work that would help maintain peace in his native Energodar. He was worried about the situation at the front, we discussed it, but Crimea was indifferent to him,” says Kotelyanets.
“I’m afraid that Evgeny was kidnapped and taken to Crimea not just to be handed over as the organizer of some incredible conspiracy,” the saboteur’s brother laments. – Thus, the Kremlin can justify its full-scale attack on Ukraine. The many inconsistencies in the stories broadcast by Russian channels also speak about the staging. They say that they caught 15 people, but they show only him alone. All the weapons were removed in one place, and he himself was in another. Things that allegedly show him do not actually belong to him, he has a backpack with which he was in the ATO, but it is completely different, it is at home, on the balcony. This means that Evgeny did not plan long trips; he left with a small travel bag. His camouflage and combat boots are also at home. He left in sweatpants and a T-shirt, which he wore outdoors - it’s amazing what kind of sabotage group in sweatpants.”
