Ukraine wants to create air and water police

The head of the National Police of Ukraine, Sergei Knyazev, said that the department plans to create air and water units.

“From the technical block, we have set ourselves the goal of reviving modern helicopter groups. Fast police groups that use boats. Because we have a large coastal, sea and river zone,” noted the head of the National Police.

According to him, the police are now working more closely with colleagues from the State Border Service, the National Guard and other law enforcement agencies.

Knyazev noted that the recruitment and training of a special tactical police unit is currently ongoing. Employees of this unit will ensure public safety during public events.
