In Konotop in the Sumy region, local deputies started a fight with employees of the tram department.
The mayor of Konotop, Artyom Semenikhin, announced this on his Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Semenikhin said that city council deputy, “ex-regional and citizen of the Russian Federation” Alexander Kiriy personally staged a “bloody fight and pogrom” to intimidate tram department workers who work without salaries in terrible conditions.
“In Konotop, citizen of the Russian Federation Kiriy, together with his “titushki”, attacked the employees of the tram department. They were brutally beaten, my deputy's car was smashed. City Council Secretary Elena Bagryantseva was also brutally beaten. Alexander Kiriy personally beat her in the back, in the kidneys and threw her to the ground,” wrote the Konotop head.
According to Semenikhin, Alexander Kiriy is a former racketeer, and now the “supervisor” of Konotop, who is also a co-owner of private minibuses, who has repeatedly demanded at sessions of the Konotop City Council to make a decision to close the tram.
Semenikhin also noted that Kiriya and the “titushki” are supported by the head of the Konotop police department, Voitsekhovsky.
“Imagine, this cop threatens employees of the tram department with Berkut in order to force them to work without pay on faulty cars in a de-energized depot, where the roof is also leaking onto the power cabinet!” – Semenikhin said.
“For reference: Voitsekhovsky (Yashunin) in the past worked in Yanukovych’s personal security, and during the war in Donbass he tried to create an image of a super-patriot by managing the Kiev-2 regiment,” added the city mayor of Konotop.
