Ukraine does not have money for new ships for the Navy - they will modernize the old ones - Cabinet of Ministers resolution
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the distribution of funds under the budget program for the development of weapons and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to which 91 million UAH will be allocated for the repair and modernization of the frigate “Hetman Sagaidachny”.
This is stated in the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of February 8, 2017 No. 81-r.

According to the order, a total of UAH 2017 billion will be allocated for the budget program for the development of weapons and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for 6,47.
In particular, according to the annex to the document, UAH 5,617 billion will be allocated for the purchase and modernization of weapons and military equipment, UAH 520,5 million for research and development work, and UAH 242,2 million for the creation of a Unified Automated Control System for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Let us remind you that at the time of the division of the USSR Black Sea Fleet, the frigate, which was also renamed “Hetman Sahaidachny”, was already morally obsolete.
