A mini-factory producing counterfeit toilet paper was busted in the Lviv region
Employees of the Economic Protection Department in the Lviv region, together with employees of the investigative department of the police of the Lviv region, under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office, exposed and stopped the activities of a mini-factory for the production of counterfeit paper products under the brand of a well-known manufacturer, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press service of the National Police in the Lviv region.
Thus, criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 3 of Article 177 (violation of rights to an invention, utility model, industrial design, topography of an integrated circuit, plant variety, rationalization proposal) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. During the pre-trial investigation, law enforcement officers established that at a mini-factory located in the Bugsky district in the Lviv region, counterfeit products were produced on an industrial scale - paper towels, napkins, toilet paper, etc. with illegal application of an image of an industrial design logo of one of the well-known manufacturers in the Lviv region.
The attackers made paper products using four industrial machines from imported raw materials.
Law enforcement officers also identified and stopped the activity of a “transshipment site” with a store-warehouse for the wholesale sale of counterfeit goods. “Products” worth more than 180 thousand hryvnia were prevented from entering the consumer market.
A mini-factory producing counterfeit toilet paper was shut down in Lviv Oblast.
