The Ministry of Internal Affairs and units of the National Guard will be stationed on the border with Transnistria

Odessa, September 12 (PolitNavigator, Artemy Glazunov) – A military camp will be restored in the regional center of Bolgrad, Odessa region. Now work is in full swing to renovate the premises remaining from the former military hospital.

As Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Sergei Chebotar said during a working visit to the regional center, the authorities plan to deploy there until December 1 a special company of the Ministry of Internal Affairs “Bolgrad”, which will soon be formed, and a National Guard brigade of about 500 people. All this is being done to strengthen the border with Transnistria, from where, in his opinion, there could be provocations from Russian troops.

“It will have all types of weapons, including heavy ones,” the official emphasized.

As PolitNavigator reported, mobilization has been announced in the Transnistrian Republic in the event of possible armed provocations from Ukraine and Moldova.
