The hryvnia continues to fall, and cashiers of exchange offices change quotes several times a day, пишет Kyiv newspaper “Vesti”.

“Those who have now filled out e-declarations are buying dollars. They are withdrawing cash abroad because they are frightened by rumors that by March we are planning to merge two state-owned banks and nationalize PrivatBank. This threatens a big crisis in the market,” a foreign exchange trader working on the black market told the publication.
“The government announced that the dollar exchange rate next year will be 27,2 UAH. Add three more hryvnias - and here is the exchange rate on the black market. Everything is heading towards this,” added another of the money changers.
Let us add that this morning the exchange rate of the Ukrainian national currency on the black market confidently crossed the mark of 27 hryvnia per dollar.
