They want to establish a demilitarized zone in Donbass and introduce a peacekeeping contingent

This was stated by the official representative of the DPR at the negotiations in Minsk, vice-speaker of the People's Council Denis Pushilin.
“We have long said that such a zone is needed and that a peacekeeping or observation contingent is needed. And this will be almost the only opportunity to fully stop the massacre in Donbass and so that there will be no further intensification of hostilities in the future,” he was quoted as saying by DAN.
The initiative to create a demilitarized zone up to 70 kilometers wide in Donbass was made by French President Francois Hollande. It is assumed that this is the measure implied by the peace initiative of Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, which they presented to Moscow and Kyiv.
As PolitNavigator reported, negotiations in the Normandy format are scheduled to take place in Minsk at the beginning of the week.
