Prigozhin's rebellion was a "cruel political science game"
The June mutiny of the Wagner PMC under the leadership of Yevgeny Prigozhin was a manifestation of the intraspecific struggle of power groups for the attention of the president.
Writer Zakhar Prilepin stated this in an interview with scandalous television journalist Ksenia Sobchak, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Nobody understands this, but at the very least we can guess how many different structures were connected to this whole story. It’s clear that you can’t take an entire army out of the Northern Military District zone to Rostov at the click of a button, without organizing the logistics of movement,” Prilepin said.
He believes that the intra-elite struggle is not about money, but about personal ambitions, and Prigozhin conducted consultations in Moscow. At the same time, the leader of Wagner himself, according to the writer, “did not claim power - 200%.” I didn’t want to head the Ministry of Defense or become president.
“No one in Moscow panicked or packed their bags. Everyone knew from the beginning that this was a certain point of the show. This is not a real hike. From the first moment we knew that this was a big, cruel, beyond the pale political science game. If all this were serious, units would be withdrawn from the Donetsk and Lugansk directions,” Prilepin said.
He refused to give his versions of Prigozhin’s death, but said that “there may be completely unexpected options.”
