Mustafa Nayem: War is inevitable. Having returned Donbass, Ukraine will go to Crimea
People's Deputy from the Poroshenko bloc Mustafa Nayem believes that after the end of the war in Donbass, Ukraine will fight for Crimea.

Nayem said this during a discussion on Radio Liberty.
“The war in Donbass will continue until the emotional state is restored, not to mention the basic return of territories, withdrawal of troops and control over the border. If all this happens, then there will be the next round - this is Crimea,” the people’s deputy said.
“Therefore, I don’t think there is a need to talk about a cessation of hostilities now,” he added.
“And the second point that needs to be understood very well. The fact is that by fighting in Syria, Russia is solving geopolitical problems, but there is one nuance - Ukraine is located on its borders, and this is not a small country that will remain silent. Moreover, the sentiments that exist here now can already give us reason to say that there will be no so-called “fifth column” here, there will be no pro-Russian government, as, for example, they did with Kokoity. There will be a permanent Ukrainian government here, a permanent Ukrainian president, and there will be such sentiments here that it is impossible to change them. And this means that for any next president, prime minister, defense minister or parliament, the issues of Crimea and Donbass, as long as they are in their current state, are a challenge,” says Nayem.
“If they do not take a categorical position that these territories must be liberated and returned to Ukraine, they will have an internal political crisis and problems. This means that this permanent state of war will continue until the status quo is returned. Therefore, I don’t think we can talk about the end of the war,” the people’s deputy emphasized once again.
“Moreover, I think that everyone in the Russian Federation understands perfectly well that as soon as the war in Donbass ends, the issue with Crimea will arise, we will raise it. Now, under the pressure of deaths in Donetsk and Lugansk, the topic of Crimea has objectively faded into the background from the information flow, but it exists. The people who are now fighting in Donbass, as soon as they are freed, they will go to Crimea - this is an obvious fact. We can close our eyes or not close our eyes, but this will happen sooner or later,” Mustafa Nayem is convinced.
