Sailors of a great agrarian power beg abroad

Since Soviet times, Ukraine has had the opportunity to train naval personnel of the highest category, but the state does not need them and is forced to beg abroad in order to feed their families.

The ex-commander of the Ukrainian Navy Sergei Gaiduk spoke about this during a conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We rank sixth in the world in the training of maritime personnel, but, unfortunately, taking into account the miscalculations of the state maritime policy, our maritime specialists are forced to beg abroad and stand among the cheap labor force in order to solve the social issues of Ukrainian families,” - said Sergei Gaiduk.
