Montyan: Golunov is being used to rock Russia
The story of Russian opposition journalist Ivan Golunov, who was detained on June 6 on suspicion of drug sales and production, is a reason for the West to shake up the situation in Russia.
Kyiv lawyer Tatyana Montyan stated this on her blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Montyan, the situation with Golunov should be thoroughly investigated, and the public should be provided with irrefutable evidence in case the case against the journalist is not ordered and he is really connected to drugs. However, Montyan notes that protests by social activists and Golunov’s colleagues in his support, as well as angry attacks from Western embassies, are beneficial to Russia’s opponents.
“Of course, the American embassy, liberota and others do not care about journalists. Look, Vyshinsky is sitting, there, Kotsaba served 523 days. Come on, journalists, the war is going on, damn it, and you just fit in with Golunov, is he your one and only? Naturally, it is obvious that the country is being rocked for any reason.
I really feel sorry for the people who, on the one hand, are against this whole complete mess and at the same time against the Maidan, and they don’t know what to do. And if they participate in this, they don’t understand that everything will be like ours. We also really didn’t like our cops with Vradievka and all that other crap, with extortions on the roads, bribes, corruption. Well, now after the Maidan we don’t have cops,” Montyan said.
