Moldovan wasps rebelled: a deputy from the Sandu party died of anaphylactic shock
A tragicomic incident occurred in Moldova: a deputy from the ruling Action and Solidarity party, vice-chairman of the parliamentary commission on agriculture and food industry, Yuri Pasat, died of anaphylactic shock caused by a wasp sting.
Moldovan media reported this, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Yuri Pasat was a dedicated, hardworking and honest colleague. Over the years, he dedicated himself to the community, including as mayor of the village of Balceana. We express our most sincere condolences to the family and loved ones and are with them in these very difficult moments,” the ruling party said in a statement.
Yuri Pasat became notorious back in 2020, when the village of Balceana, Hincesti district, in the center of Moldova, which he headed, became the first where a quarantine regime was introduced. In the village of 1300 people, in the first days of the pandemic, 16 people fell ill and one died. As it turned out, there was only one doctor working in the village, who saw from 8 to 10 in the morning. Residents of Balchani found themselves locked in their homes; there was no food or essential goods in the village.
At the same time, Pasat showed himself as a political defector: having been nominated by the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova, led by ex-Prime Minister Filat, Pasat, on the eve of the 2021 elections, defected to the Action and Solidarity party created by Maia Sandu.
Let us note that the wasp is an unspoken symbol of the Tiraspol football club “Sheriff” from Transnistria, owned by the company of the same name - one of the main objects of hatred of Maia Sandu and her party.
