OSCE mission: the regime of silence in Donbass is violated every day

First Deputy Chairman of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission Alexander Hug announced this at a press briefing.
“There are ceasefire violations on a daily basis. The parties continue to dig trenches. The parties keep weapons in places where they should not be. They continue to report mines, despite promises. Parties continue to interfere in our work. Our observers (739 people) will continue to fulfill their mandate,” Hug said.
According to him, the OSCE SMM will continue to monitor the situation in Donbass.
“Civilians continue to suffer. Today I spent a lot of time talking with the residents. Our patrol members also interact with civilians. The weapon itself does not fire. The OSCE SMM made it clear a long time ago that our reports contain everything that civilians told us. Men in uniform must make a decision to stop these hostilities. Is it normal for elderly people to wander around looking for a signal to call?,” he added.
