Miroslava Berdnik was threatened by the SBU - if she does not admit “guilt,” she will face 15 years under Article 258 of the Criminal Code
Before the interrogation of Miroslava Berdnik, three SBU operatives had a “friendly conversation” with her in her office for an hour and a half without a protocol, trying to find out who leaked information about the search in her apartment to the Internet.

Miroslava Berdnik herself spoke about this in an interview with Ukraina.ru.
“I answered them like this. Even as a child, I witnessed the KGB conducting a search of my father. Then he was left with a copy of the search report. How long did it take for the protocol to be published in the West? He was called in connection with this and asked: did he hand over the document? To this the father replied that there were two copies: one they had, and the other he had. He has a copy of it with him. This means that they sent a copy to the West. In other words, the SBU themselves leaked the search in my apartment,” she says.
Also, according to Berdnik, SBU officers threatened her that if she did not admit “guilt,” then she would face up to 258 years under Article 15, and if she admitted, the case would be transferred to the prosecutor, and she would receive a year and a half suspended sentence.
“Even after that, I asked them: what if I’m innocent? The court recognized the innocence of journalist Ruslan Kotsaba. Then there was an interrogation by the investigator on record, but I have no right to talk about it. I will only say that the investigator behaved correctly. In a week I’m going for interrogation again, but I’ll just go with my lawyer,” says the Ukrainian journalist, writer and blogger, who is being persecuted by the security services.
