Ministry of Energy of Ukraine: We demand that gas not be considered Russian

The Russian gas that Ukraine receives through supposed re-export is not Russian, because its molecules do not indicate whose it is.

This justification was voiced on the air of the Iceland internet channel by Elena Zerkal, an adviser to the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, reports a correspondent "PolitNavigator".

Zerkal stated that Ukraine refused to export gas from Russia in 2015 and since then has not been consuming its gas.

“We have not consumed Russian gas since 15. And all this gossip that these molecules that we receive are Russian gas is manipulation, because it is not written on the molecule whether it is Russian gas or whether it is gas that we extract from our own fields, or whether it is gas which we buy from Norway or the European market.

We consume gas that is not Russian, we do not buy from Russia,” Zerkal said.
