Mikhail Pogrebinsky: Capturing the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra will be crossing the “red line”
The seizure of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, the possibility of which was discussed again today after the picketing of the monastery by Ukrainian neo-Nazis from the C14 group , would be crossing a “red line.”

“C14 takes advantage of any opportunity to show that they are at the forefront of the fight against the Russian World. I do not believe in the possibility of a serious attempt by radicals to seize the Kiev Pechersk Lavra. This will already be crossing the “red line”, and the authorities will not allow this.
Such actions could become a reason for aggravating the internal Ukrainian situation, since tens of thousands of people stand on the side of the inhabitants of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra and the Moscow Patriarchate in general; this is a serious social force that is not so easy to deal with.
Behind such actions are those who are interested in whipping up passions. The media have already reported that C14 are coordinated by the SBU. I don’t have any evidence of this, but the SBU has not refuted such reports in any way,” Pogrebinsky noted.
