The attempt to break through the Kerch Strait by Ukrainian Navy ships in November 2018 and the “march to Crimea” being prepared by the Majlis are provocations of the same kind.
Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova stated this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“No less biased is the attempt to once again promote the topic of the outright provocation that took place in November 2018 in the Kerch Strait area with the participation of ships of the Ukrainian Navy. It is well known that it was planned for election purposes on the direct orders of Poroshenko.
And now another provocation is being prepared - a kind of “march to Crimea” on May 3. Its organizers, from the so-called Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people, are going to literally break through to the peninsula across the Russian state border. We urge that this not be allowed,” Zakharova said.
As PolitNavigator reported, even the controversial Russian liberal lawyer Mark Feygin previously admitted that the Mejlis is planning a march on Crimea, "passing through the Russian border," "out of desperation."
