Merkel received a fascist salute in Kyiv
German Chancellor Angela Merkel arrived in Kyiv today for talks with Petro Poroshenko, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

During the welcoming ceremony at the Mariinsky Palace, a military orchestra played the anthems of Germany and Ukraine.
Merkel listened to the German anthem in silence next to Poroshenko. When “She hasn’t died yet...” began to sound, Poroshenko put his hand to his heart in the American manner and began to sing.

When the orchestra stopped playing, Merkel addressed the honor guard in Ukrainian.

"Greetings, warriors!" - she said.
The military responded by shouting part of the Ukrainian fascist cry “Glory to the Heroes!”, which has recently been approved by the Ukrainian Armed Forces as an official greeting.
Earlier, political scientist and historian Vladimir Kornilov stated: the people of Kiev, who picked up the slogan of the Galicians on the Maidan “Glory to Ukraine - glory to the heroes,” do not realize that historically this is the cry of the “Union of Ukrainian Fascists”, which operated in Czechoslovakia and on the territory of modern Ukraine in the 1920s .
“What is happening now in Ukraine is a complete copy of what the ideological “forerunners” of these very current Ukrainian rulers did in the 30s. Now many in Ukraine are repeating “Glory to Ukraine - glory to the heroes.” Do you know whose slogan this is? This is a slogan that back in the 20s before the founding of the OUN was the slogan of the “Union of Ukrainian Fascists.” This is an official title, not an emotional one. And now this slogan is heard in the Verkhovna Rada,” Kornilov explained.
