German Chancellor Angela Merkel stated this while delivering a report at the Munich Security Conference.
“Europeans alone cannot defeat Islamic terrorism. US military power is needed here. Islamic terrorism is approaching the external borders of the EU, making cooperation with the US especially important. It is also necessary to attract Muslim states to this coalition. Show that the cause of terrorism is not Islam, but its perversion,” said the German Chancellor.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that NATO was tilting at windmills in the Black Sea to spare terrorists in Syria.
