Merkel stopped arguing with Putin
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in an interview with NTV channel, revealed some details of a recent telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

“The Chancellor did not deny that it is necessary to influence Kyiv, including, although, of course, she repeated her usual calls for Russia to influence the militias. Vladimir Putin explained to her the sequence of events. I don’t want to reveal the details of the conversation, but the chancellor did not argue with how we assess the situation,” Lavrov said.
According to him, the leaders of the two countries agreed to intensify negotiations within the framework of the Normandy format.
