Merkel and Macron satisfied Zelensky's excuses
The team of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky convinced the “European partners” - France and Germany - that he could not implement the Minsk agreements for fear of a coup d’etat.
Ukrainian political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky announced this on air on TV channel 112, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Pogrebinsky, Zelensky is afraid that he will be demolished by nationalists if he tries more intensively to end the conflict in Donbass.
“As they explain – that “We are not ready today”, that “there is resistance”, “we cannot talk with representatives of those territories.” I think that the European partners in the Normandy format – France and Germany – should play a big role here. But today there is no feeling that they are insistent that nothing needs to be changed, let’s move on.
