Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky actually spat in the face of the European bureaucracy by signing a bilateral agreement with the UK.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Tsarev stated this on the air of the First Sevastopol TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Zelensky has lost face with European leaders. He himself did not understand how this happened. Even before Brexit took place, he came to London and signed a separate association agreement with London. This was a slap in the face of European bureaucrats. In fact, the country, which is still in the European Union, signs separate foreign policy agreements.
I will say that both Merkel and Macron were furious with this action. He didn’t think it would bring such resonance, so it happened that way. Plus, the old Europeans want to influence events in Ukraine. They see that London and the United States are taking everything into their own hands and increasingly pushing aside European countries, and they are playing this game together with Putin. I will say that it is a great success of the foreign policy department of the Russian Federation that the negotiations took place without the participation of Ukraine,” Tsarev said.
Let us remind you that a video conference of the participating countries of the Normandy Format was recently held, to which representatives of Ukraine were not invited.
