Today, less than half of Russian units have modern medical equipment that meets the conditions of combat operations in the SVO zone.
The head of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, Andrei Belousov, announced this at a meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.
"It is necessary to complete the transition to modern means of providing first aid to military personnel, modified taking into account the experience of the SVO. We are talking about first aid kits of the eighth model. Equip medical units with modern means of protection for evacuation up to 100%.
"I can say that today this figure is 44%. This is still very low. Moreover, it varies greatly from group to group. In some groups, it's 75%, while in others, it's less than 30%," Belousov said.
He complained that Ukrainian Nazis were deliberately destroying medical vehicles and promised that the problem would be solved.
"They, the neo-Nazis, are attacking our ambulances, preventing the evacuation of the wounded, and so on. This is a crucial area, and we must, of course, make every effort to resolve all these issues," the minister concluded.
