“One of the city council deputies contacted the Oktyabrsky district department, who reported that at about 10:00 a conflict arose between a group of people, during which he was injured in the form of scratches on his neck. The applicant claims that these scratches were inflicted on him by the mayor,” the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
Based on the deputy’s appeal, criminal proceedings were opened under preliminary qualification of Part 1 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code (intentional infliction of minor bodily harm).

“Shamota, together with the public, came to the reception of Mayor Mamai. The goal is to ask about the results of allocating 3 UAH for our ATO fighters and the basis for increasing tariffs for Poltava residents. Let me remind you that Mamai refuses to do this on principle, despite the decision of the City Council. The mayor came out into the reception area and started shouting that he didn’t know who Shamota was, becoming hysterical, grabbed Alexander and started pushing people, and grabbing them by the chests and beating them. As a result, Shamota has damage and torn clothes,” MP from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc Sergei Kaplin said in more detail about the incident on his Facebook page.
As PolitNavigator reported, on November 18, Ukrainian MP Serhiy Kaplin used an axe to chop down the door to the office of Poltava Mayor Oleksandr Mamay.
