Members of the Mejlis voiced Dzhemilev’s plan for invasion of Crimea
Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Dunja Mijatović plans a visit to Crimea on October 7-11. The top of the Majlis, banned in the Russian Federation, intends to send its representatives on a trip to the peninsula together with Mijatovic.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Refat Chubarov stated this on the ATR television channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I think that Dunja Mijatović, as an official of the Council of Europe, can be in Crimea along the route approved and agreed upon by Ukraine.
But I would really like for those citizens of Ukraine who do not have the opportunity to be at home to visit with her. So that she can take me into her delegation, as the head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people (the organization is banned in the Russian Federation - author), she can invite our leader, Mr. Mustafa Dzhemilev, she can invite Mr. Andrei Shchekun or someone else. So that we show her our relatives, our homes, so that we show those communities that have not seen us for five years,” Chubarov said.
