Mejlis members declared eternal war with Russia
The war with Russia and the now defunct Crimean Khanate has been going on since the end of the XNUMXth century.
Eskender Bariyev, a member of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis, which is banned in Russia, stated this on the air of the UA:Crimea television channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Today, if we take the relations of the Crimean Tatars with the Russian Federation, we are still at the stage of war. Because the Kuchuk-Kainardzhi agreement, which was concluded in 1774 and within the framework of which Crimea, the Crimean Khanate should be an independent state, then in 1783, in violation of this agreement, the Russian Federation declared war on the Crimean Khanate and the Crimean Tatars. And this war continues to this day, says Bariev. “We did not conclude any agreement, we did not sign capitulation and we continue to fight with the Russian Federation.”
