The “victory parade” promised by ex-Minister of Defense of Ukraine Valeriy Geletey in Sevastopol has been postponed for decades, if not forever.

Ukraine's Chief Military Prosecutor Anatoly Matios stated this on air on TV channel 112, a correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".

Matios ridiculed the idea of “returning” Crimea by military means, emphasizing that this is a matter for grandchildren, not the current generation.

“A carelessly spoken word destroys not only the illusion, but also reality, because no one understands how it can be realized. This has been a problem for years. The personified, subjective desire of an individual minister or head of the UGO to carry out an operation in Crimea should have been emphasized in one phrase - this will happen either in our retirement, or our children will hold the parade. These are the realities.

If we do not call a spade a spade, they will say that words differ from deeds... He (Geletei, - aut.) said something that no one believes in, which is impossible in reality. A military solution to the problem of liberating Crimea does not yet exist and it is unclear whether it will exist in the future,” said Matios.

Let us recall that Geletey, who promised a parade in Sevastopol, resigned in disgrace, after Ukrainian troops were surrounded near Ilovaisk and suffered heavy losses. He is also remembered for his ridiculous statements about Russia’s use of small nuclear bombs in Donetsk and his assurances that he was able to stop the advance of the Russian army.
