Masks are off: The final sale of Ukraine has started
The Ukrainian government has approved a list of more than 300 state-owned enterprises that will be sold into private hands, similar to the privatizations of the 1990s.
The list published on the Cabinet of Ministers website included 43 strategic state-owned enterprises. To sell them, permission must be obtained from the Verkhovna Rada.

Thus, the Ukrainian government is going to transfer the strategically important Odessa port plant, Sumykhimprom, and Centernergo into private hands. The first two enterprises are the most important players in the chemical industry, control over them will change the balance of the entire industry.
Centrenergo includes three large thermal power plants that generate heat and light for Kharkov, Kyiv and areas around million-plus cities, as well as parts of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
According to the text of the document, all remaining state shares in thermal generation enterprises and regional energy supply companies (oblenergos) will be put up for privatization.
The list included state-owned coal enterprises and mines. It is noteworthy that in the list you can find mines located in the territory controlled by the DPR, for example, the Donetsk mine named after. Zasyadko. Similarly, Centerenergo also includes the Uglegorskaya Thermal Power Plant, which is located in the city of Svetodarsk near Debaltsevo, right on the border of the clash between the punitive forces of the ATO and the forces of the LDPR.
Ukrtorf, NPP Elektronmash, President-Hotel and seaports will fall under privatization. Most of Ukrainian exports can be controlled through ports, including the export of metal and grain. However, in order to put ports up for auction, it is also necessary to obtain permission from the Verkhovna Rada.
