Marochko spoke about the difficulties of promoting the Russian Armed Forces
Despite the active opposition of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the extreme complexity of conducting combat operations, Russian troops continue to gradually move forward along almost the entire line of combat.
Retired LPR Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko said this on air at the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio station, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Currently, in the Kupyansky and Krasnolimansky directions, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to use DRGs on the line of combat contact, they are trying to use UAVs to adjust fire and reconnaissance. These DRGs are trying to hold our troops back because, even in difficult conditions, our guys are moving forward every day.
Over the past two weeks there has not been a single step back; there has been progress all the time. Moreover, a number of advantageous positions were taken. And the enemy is now only conducting offensive actions in the opposite direction,” the officer noted.
He emphasized that in some areas progress is extremely slow due to difficult combat conditions.
“In some areas, even moving 10 meters is a huge success. If this is within the city limits, in Artyomovsk there are battles for every house, and very difficult conditions for assault units.
There are open areas of terrain where our units advance, literally digging trenches towards the enemy. And the interposition space is sometimes 20-30 meters, and this is already possible to throw grenades at the enemy.
And the enemy is not asleep, he also snaps and inflicts fire on our units,” Marochko added.
