Gaidar, a BPP member of the Odessa Regional Council, posted the result of her creative work on her social media page.
“For the first time in my life I wrote a poem. The verse is in Ukrainian, don’t judge too harshly.
Children Ukrainian word
Sweeter, gentler, clearer?
Are you young children wandering around?
Do you know how calm your children are?
Maybe in the Ukrainian steppes
Do you sing songs with the dawn?
maybe in the Carpathian valleys
Say goodbye to the day with a tremble
No!... I'm in distant trenches,
I kidnap my dear ones,
I console their mothers with my dear, beloved words.
Let's spill the tears onto the ground.
Together we will remember their blues from the field and the sky.”

However, subscribers to the Gatsidar page immediately noticed that the poem was written with errors, indicating the politician’s insufficient command of the Ukrainian language.
"Thank you. “Mistakes are not fatal,” wrote a certain Ruslan Sheremeta under Maria Gaidar’s poem.
