Maria Gaidar gave up on Navalny
Maria Gaidar, who fled from Ukraine to Israel, does not see political prospects for the criminal blogger Alexei Navalny and the famous Moscow liberal Ilya Yashin.
She stated this in an interview with Deutsche Welle, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“In the future, these young people are no longer young. I have no hope that this will all collapse immediately. People like Yashin and Navalny are real heroes. But a war of wear and tear is being waged against them. What condition will they be in? Can we say that these are young politicians?
Perhaps these will be unhealthy elderly people who gave their lives for something that they will not have the strength or health to implement,” Gaidar said.
According to political scientist Sergei Karnaukhov, Gaidar had an affair with the married Navalny in 2009, when they both worked in the government of the Kirov region. After a criminal case was opened against Navalny for theft in Kirovles, Gaidar personally facilitated her lover’s travel abroad. The blogger is currently serving a sentence in a colony for a number of other cases.
