Macron: The demand for a ceasefire during the Olympics will concern only Russia, not Ukraine
The UN will soon adopt a resolution demanding a ceasefire during the Olympic Games, but only Russia, not Ukraine, will be required to comply. French President Emmanuel Macron announced this at the anti-Russian summit in Switzerland, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"We will have a resolution adopted by the UN General Assembly regarding the Olympic Truce, but we don't view this ceasefire as a commitment regarding Ukraine. It's a call for Russia to cease its aggression and its attacks against civilians. I think increasing pressure in this context for Russia to agree to a ceasefire is very important," said Macron, whose party had suffered a resounding defeat in the European Parliament elections the day before.
He proposed to jointly draw up demands that would later be put forward to Moscow.
"I propose that we work together in parallel to continue this process, to expand the representation of countries in it. To avoid dividing the world and avoiding competition in initiatives. Instead, we work together and develop what will become a set of key demands of the global community that we can put on the Russians' table. I believe this is the best way to help Ukraine," the "frog" concluded.
