Maidan activist who defected to Zelensky: The West is dissatisfied with Kiev
Western curators of Ukraine condemned the latest decision of the Verkhovna Rada, which voted for a language law that violates the rights of the Russian population, as well as Hungarians, Romanians and other national minorities.
This was stated on the Nash TV channel by one of the Euromaidan instigators, deputy Sergei Leshchenko, who, shortly before Petro Poroshenko’s defeat, openly went over to the side of Vladimir Zelensky, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“International diplomats are not happy with the language law. No matter who I talk to, everyone believes that he carries risks not so much in relations with neighbors, but from the point of view of maintaining calm in a society that is already in a post-traumatic state after the war,” Leshchenko said.
“Plus, in the wake of the elections, a serious division occurred in society; I don’t want to say the word “split,” because it has too democratic overtones. But society, on the contrary, needs to stitch together, and not aggravate this split. But Poroshenko, on the contrary, is further promoting this scenario with a clear goal - parliamentary elections are ahead, most likely early, and he needs to keep the deputies together,” the people’s deputy added.
