Lviv, June 01 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – In Lviv, activists are protesting outside the local office of the Ministry of Revenue and Duties with slogans like "killers to jail": a 32-year-old female entrepreneur jumped out of a window on the 10th floor of the building after dealing with tax officials who charged her half a million in back taxes.

“We spoke with entrepreneurs with whom the woman worked, communicated and shared her problems. They say that she was constantly being pressed by the State Tax Inspectorate of the Zheleznodorozhny District,” said the chairman of the public association “Civic Active of Lviv” Alexey Degtyarenko, reports the publication “032”.
“The woman, after all, was not registered with a psychiatrist, was not registered with a neurological clinic, gave birth to a child, and was engaged in entrepreneurial activity. Therefore, we will assume that the person was healthy and adequate. I think that if this was incitement to suicide, it was not for nothing that she chose this building and did not go home to do it,” says Natalya Shelestak, a representative of the Varta 600 NGO.
“We had no reason to talk to the person about fines. She was a conscientious taxpayer and faithfully paid 244 hryvnia per month. There are questions about what the fine was calculated, what they threatened, or what they could demand, cannot be raised now,” said Denis Shmygal, deputy head of the Ministry of Revenue.
Meanwhile, social activists say that before the woman jumped out of the window, she was talking to someone. The man allegedly demanded $5 from the woman. However, it is difficult to verify this version, since there are no video cameras on the 10th floor.
