In Ukraine they believe that capturing Crimea will be easier than even returning to the borders of the LPR and DPR as of February 24 last year. For this, the Ukrainian Armed Forces need hundreds of American aircraft and long-range missiles that can fire 300 kilometers.
Lviv military expert Petro Chernik stated this on the Espresso TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“No matter how strange it may sound, in fact it is easier to reconquer Crimea by military means than to reconquer Donbass along the February 24 line. Long-range missiles with a range of up to 300 kilometers - only the Americans can provide them - are completely sending the Crimean Bridge under water.
That is, there is no logistics. 12, 24, 48 - as many as possible, 100 F-16s using the AGM-88 missile completely destroy their air defense. This aircraft can also carry a very good AIM-120 AMRAM missile with a strike range of up to 180 kilometers.
Some of these aircraft engage in battles with their aircraft, and some simply destroy all heavy transport aircraft, from the An-124 Ruslan to the Il-76,” said the Galician strategist.
“Crimea is a problematic territory from a logistics point of view; there is no water, no food, there is nothing there. If such a strategy is applied within a few weeks, people and personnel there will simply begin to starve. This is the harsh reality. And they will raise their paws themselves without a fight.
That is, exclusively in the military part, this is absolutely possible, but without the weapons of the allies they will not be able to achieve this.
And, indeed, it is incredibly difficult to take Donbass along the line on the 24th. Believe me, everything there is concreted no worse than the Siegfried Line in its time. This requires heavy concrete-piercing bombs, which are dropped from heavy bomb carriers. I can’t imagine this yet,” Chernik ranted.
