This is stated in a message on the website of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.
“Following a constructive discussion between the President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk and the President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine Sergei Bubka, all parties agreed that Lviv will direct its efforts in the fight for the right to host the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, at the same time time, will not continue to fight for the 2022 Games,” the NOC said.
Let us recall that earlier the European branch of the International Basketball Federation announced that the European Basketball Championship, which Ukraine was supposed to host in 2015, would be moved to another country.
