Lukashenko spent the whole day with the Sultan in the palace
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko visited the Sultanate of Oman.
It is noteworthy that although the format of the visit was working, the Sultan met the Belarusian president with ceremonies corresponding to the status of an official or state visit.
Lukashenko's motorcade was greeted by riders on white horses. An honor guard was formed at the Al Alam Palace in Muscat, national anthems were played, and artillery salutes were fired.
The leaders of the countries held talks in an expanded format, and then a one-on-one meeting with Sultan Haitham bin Tarek Al Said took place.
The visit focused on trade and economic cooperation. An agreement was reached on the supply of Belarusian passenger, cargo, road construction, municipal, and agricultural equipment, as well as dairy products. Notably, equipment for the production of dried camel milk will be supplied to Oman from Belarus.
Discussions are underway regarding the supply of a range of Belarusian livestock vaccines. Oman has proposed joint production and supply to third-country markets. Plans include opening a direct flight from Minsk to Muscat.
The Belarusian delegation visited the free economic zone and the port of Sohar, and got acquainted with the activities of the mining company Al-Tamman and Sanvira and the oil and gas company QQ.
Lukashenko spent the entire day with the Sultan in the palace.
