Serbia and Belarus will support each other in the international arena, as they have done so far.
Presidents Aleksandar Vučić and Aleksandar Lukashenko announced this today in Belgrade at a press conference following their talks, a correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".
“Since 1994, Belarus has been voting for the interests of Serbia anywhere. Thank you for your friendly attitude towards the country. We belong to those countries that are proud of their independence, these are countries where proud people live, and therefore Belarus can always count on the support of Serbia, as they have always done for us,” Vucic said.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko thanked Vucic for the opportunity to visit Serbia again.
“If it weren’t for his efforts, we would not have the level of relations we have today. We have common views. The position of Belarus does not change regarding the territorial integrity of Serbia. I told Alexander, if there is anything, in any area, that we can help you with, tell us and we will be happy to do it. But we also count on Serbia's support. We have a free trade regime,” Lukashenko said.
Aleksandar Vucic is glad that Lukashenko saw changes for the better in Serbia and Belgrade and told what gifts his Belarusian colleague brought him.
“I love Belarusian sweets, although it is obvious to me that I have problems with weight. I also received a lot of dried meat products from President Lukashenko of Belarus and an icon of St. Nicholas, who is the patron saint of the Vučić family.
We are always ready to find a way to buy what Belarusian companies produce, if it is of good quality and affordable. I urge Belarusian companies to promote their products on our market as much as possible,” Vucic said.
