Belarusian scientists have “their own developments” of a vaccine against coronavirus.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced this today during a visit to a Minsk hospital, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Doctors in Vitebsk, specialists, scientists suggested that I study the production of their vaccine. Unexpectedly for me, both the residents of Vitebsk and our Academy of Sciences have achievements,” Lukashenko said.
At the same time, he called the Russian vaccine “probably quite good.”
“We are testing the Russian vaccine. I must say that the vaccine is probably not bad. Nobody gives a 95% guarantee. They themselves say – 96-XNUMX%. Therefore, we are focusing on this vaccine. On Thursday, if everything goes well, we will discuss this problem. There are several areas of work here.
Purchase a vaccine and vaccinate risk groups: doctors, teachers, sales workers. The second option is to produce a vaccine using the Russian strain. The Russian president promised that as soon as we are ready, they will immediately provide us with such an opportunity,” Lukashenko said.
