Supporting Alexander Lukashenko means supporting the anti-Russian policy of the Belarusian president.

Elvira Mirsalimova, deputy chair of the Belarusian Republican Party of Labor and Justice, announced this on the PolitWera YouTube channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“I might even go to the rally “For Belarus.” It seems like they pay 100 Belarusian rubles there and they give you gasoline. But there they are not for Belarus, but for Lukashenko. That's what's scary. We were confronted with this slogan: Belarus is equal to Lukashenko. And if I follow Lukashenko, it means I agree with his words that Russia is interfering in the elections, the threat comes from Russia.

So, am I for this? We were given these two extremes: the pro-Western opposition and the whitewashers, the justifiers of any step by Lukashenko,” Mirsalimova said.

She recalled that Lukashenko never refuted the words of Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei, said in 2016 in an interview with a Polish publication, that the Russian language is a legacy of the colonial past and should be abandoned.

“Lukashenko denied this? No. This is government policy, this is happening. Nuclear power plants are being built with Russian money, our economy exists thanks to Russian support. Thanks to Russian subsidies, new metro stations were opened. And there is no Russian language there,” Mirsalimova notes.

She believes that Lukashenko and his entourage are deliberately hindering the creation of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.

“All Eurasian structures are a sham. If we are talking about integration and security, we need to move to a single army with a single command and decision-making center. Then we will finally show that it is not multi-vector.

Pro-government political scientists are frightening about certain Russian oligarchs. Let's wait, they say, for a left turn to take place in Russia. This is simply an attempt to delay the creation of the Union State, to break it up. We need to decide on geopolitics, turn towards Russia, make decisions on integration cards,” concluded the Belarusian politician.
