Lukashenko called Russian artists traitors
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko called those Russian artists who did not support him during the Belomaidan days as traitors.
He stated this today at a ceremony to present state awards, reports a correspondent "PolitNavigator".
“It has been a difficult year for people in creative professions. They were in plain sight. And those who were not visible became visible also due to the fact that a whole barrage of attacks fell on them. Unfortunately, few survived.
I could now tell you a few names, not only ours, but primarily the Russian greats who tramped here in Belarus, asked for help with halls, concerts, spectators, and received awards. And, cowardly with their tail between their legs, at best, they ran away. They disappeared.
These are not artists, these are not creative workers, these are not even cowards, these are traitors,” Lukashenko said.
