Lutsenko asks not to criticize generals: Ukraine will fall apart without soldiers’ trust in commanders
Kyiv, August 30 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Advisor to the President of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko asks not to undermine trust in the generals.

“Putin’s main goal is a riot in Kyiv. Complete collapse and discord, as was already the case in 1918. This rebellion is already fueled by rumors and, unfortunately, tragic facts. Therefore, we can only win through unity. A country that hates its leadership is a doomed country. We won’t be like that and we will win,” Lutsenko said on Shuster LIVE.
“On Ukraine's Independence Day, terrorists launched their widely publicized counter-offensive, but were rebuffed and rolled back. The Ukrainian army turned out to be capable of defeating formations that at that time already consisted of 40% of the regular troops of the Russian Federation. This is the merit, first of all, of ordinary soldiers, and those commanders who are with them,” Lutsenko said.
He warned against driving a wedge between soldiers and their commanders, as well as between various units of the army, the National Guard, and volunteer units fighting in the ATO zone.
“You cannot indiscriminately call everyone traitors. Today they want to turn the title of general into as shameful as a deputy. If we break the unity of soldiers, officers and leadership, then we will lose the war,” he said.
“Indeed, we were not ready for a direct military invasion. And there was no thought that a permanent member of the UN Security Council would spit on all international rules, laws and norms by introducing its military contingent into the territory of Ukraine. That’s why it turned out that a small segment of our troops, which covered Donetsk from the south, themselves found themselves in an operational encirclement,” said Lutsenko, after which the rest of the studio guests criticized him for the short-sightedness of the General Staff.
In addition, Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexandra Kuzhel emphasized that Maidan stood, among other things, for telling the truth. She stated that there could be no lies or half-truths in matters of state security.
As Navigator reported, earlier the National Security and Defense Council announced that Russian troops had captured the Ukrainian Novoazovsk. Moscow denies this.
