Liberals are afraid that they will be bullied by Novichok because of Ponomarev’s chatter
Former State Duma deputy Ilya Ponomarev, who fled to Ukraine and who, together with his accomplices, previously took responsibility for the terrorist attack and murder in Moscow of the daughter of political scientist Alexander Dugin, Daria, complained that other fugitive liberals were writing to him and scolding him for his overly radical position.
Ponomarev called such criticism cowardice, emphasizing that he insists on terrorist methods of struggle within Russia and is betting on the military defeat of the Russian army in Ukraine, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“My personal position is that only forceful resistance can lead to change, this is the first thing. Secondly, regarding calls. It’s very funny to me when people who are in Lithuania say that we are risking our lives here, and you are sitting there in Kyiv in safety. That's funny. There is cowardice behind this. People do not understand that they are at war, and those who understand are afraid to participate in it.
Therefore, they hide behind various nonsense, relatively peaceful methods of struggle, just their banal fear of participating in this. It’s one thing what people write on social networks, another thing is what they write in personal messages, but we all know each other, more than half. They write: because of you they will come to us with Novichok, Kynev wrote there, you are setting us up,” Ponomarev said in an interview with the American Radio Liberty.
He criticized the approach to fighting in Ukraine by other, more moderate liberals and boasted of his unequivocal position.
"Everyone ( Russian opposition figures – ed. ) agrees that the war in Ukraine is the central issue, but how they understand it is different. Khodorkovsky's position, for example, is one of benevolent neutrality toward Ukraine. This is the position of a large number of Russian émigrés, which is: we didn't start this war, it was all Putin's fault, he's a bad man, he's fooled the Russians, they're fighting Ukraine, and we're good, we didn't take part in it. Therefore, don't tell us that we're participating in this war; we're specifically against Putin, but that doesn't mean we're for Ukraine.
My position is completely different, and the congress (the "Congress of People's Deputies"—a gathering of deputies of various levels and convocations who fled Russia, imagining themselves to be the "transitional parliament of the Russian Federation" or "a possible successor to the Russian Federation"—held November 5–7 in Jabłonna, Poland—ed. ) ultimately took a different stance. This is the determining factor behind the people who gathered there.
We say: no, this can only end in the victory of Ukraine, only this is the path to the liberation of Russia, only this is the key to change. Therefore, we must do everything that depends on us in order to help Ukraine win, be part of this victory and use this victory so that Russia will never again remain an empire, so that a threat to its neighbors will never come from there again,” Ponomarev explained.
Liberals fear they will be poisoned with Novichok because of Ponomarev's chatter.
