Landik told how Akhmetov was scammed in Donbass
Ukrainian oligarchs allegedly expected that Russia would act with Donbass according to the Crimean scenario, after which it would hand over the reins of power to them.
The fugitive Lugansk oligarch and ex-regional leader Vladimir Landik said this on the YouTube channel “Guildhall”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Akhmetov and Efremov thought that the tension that was being created [in the Donbass in 2014] would end with them being given full control of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, and everything would be fine. But when the bandits began to seize our homes, businesses, and so on, then our eyes were opened that this was not the “Crimean option.”
After all, there was no robbery in Crimea, nothing was taken there. Yes, they treated the Tatars rudely and are still doing so. But enterprises, recreation centers - they forced this out later, through the courts. But the bandits just came, took everything and plundered it. The bandits were our own, our own drunks, who took everything, smashed it and ruined it. Russia came later and started saying that there is no need to take away people’s cars, that they need to be given back, although no one gave them away. But Russia has already contained these bandits,” he noted.
Also, according to Landik, the expectations of the Ukrainian oligarchs were not met.
“And Efremov and Akhmetov thought that Russia would come in, restore order, and then they would manage it all. They were so scammed. For Efremov, this divorce ended in prison, and Akhmetov stood closer to Pyotr Alekseevich,” added the ex-regional officer.
