In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian army has success and the ability to block both the group of Ukrainian troops in Donbass and the city of Kharkov.
This was stated on the air of the Pryamoy TV channel by the former deputy commander of the Special Operations Forces and former deputy secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, Sergei Krivonos, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Krivonos, Russia has enough reserves to work in this area, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces have so far managed to hold back the onslaught.
“The situation in the Kupyansk direction is quite complicated and at certain points the enemy had partial success in certain areas, but the situation has been maintained and, despite everything, there has been no failure yet. But I emphasize the word for now, because in this studio we have repeatedly paid attention to the Kupyansky direction.
For me, the most painful thing in this situation is the Kupyansk direction. Because the Russians have resources in this direction, and for them Kupyansk is the key to their success, as regards blocking or attempting to block part of our Donbass group, and the second key is the forces and means that the Russians will need to transfer to block Kharkov “- said Krivonos.
