Kupyansk is more important than Bakhmut and Maryinka - General Krivonos
The Kupyansk direction is more important for Ukraine than the others, where the Russian army is advancing.
This was stated on the air of the Pryamyi TV channel by the former deputy secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, General Sergei Krivonos, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Krivonos, by occupying Kupyansk, Russia will receive good help in logistics support for troops on a wide sector of the front.
“Today it was more difficult in the Maryinsky direction and it was very difficult in the Bakhmut direction. Well, I’ll say this: the enemy was advancing both in the Limansky direction and in the Kupyansky direction. From the point of view of my perception, the Kupyansk direction is more important in its significance and more threatening, because the Kupyansk direction is a powerful junction station, which, if captured, will allow the Russians to significantly expand their capabilities for the transfer of troops, for logistics support along the Russian-Ukrainian front to Kharkov-Donetsk direction,” concluded Krivonos.
