Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told reporters about this today.
“Many of our colleagues, including those who endlessly criticize us and make mind-blowing statements, admit in behind-the-scenes conversations that this issue is de facto closed. But we understand perfectly well that they will develop this topic in all aspects,” Zakharova said.
In her opinion, recognition of Crimea is “stating the obvious.”
“Crimea is Russian territory. He is already living a full life as part of the Russian Federation, experiencing our common joys and difficulties. This is not just part of the territory, it is part of society. We are one people,” Zakharova said.
