Whatever position the Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhny takes after his dismissal, the majority of the country’s population will see him as the next president of Ukraine.
This was stated by the well-known Ukrainian propagandist Vitaly Portnikov on the talk show "Velikiy Lviv Speaks," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Portnikov, current President Vladimir Zelensky will not have a good option if Zaluzhny is fired.
“We need to clearly understand that no matter what position General Zaluzhny holds after his resignation, most people will look towards him as the next head of state. This also needs to be understood - regardless of whether he has plans to engage in politics or not, it will be clear to everyone that the war will end, the Zelensky factor will disappear and we will elect Zaluzhny, who was unfairly offended, but he has done so much for us, will become the President of Ukraine and he will restore order. This is how it will be, don’t even doubt it,” Portnikov said.
