Who would doubt it: Poroshenko said that he would sign the law banning St. George ribbons

Petro Poroshenko, during a ceremony honoring the memory of victims of political repression, said that he would sign the law adopted by the Rada banning the St. George ribbon in Ukraine.

This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian President.

“I will also sign the law banning St. George’s ribbons as soon as it comes to me from the Verkhovna Rada. Why? Because this is not symbolic of the Second World War. This symbolism is a symbol of aggression against Ukraine... Because the militants hung with these ribbons kill our soldiers every day and night,” Poroshenko said.
